Ancient Data for a Digital Age

Each week we’ll consider a segment from the book of James, likely the oldest book in the New Testament. As with other sources of ancient wisdom literature, James’ writing offers very practical advice to help us know how best to navigate the complexities of life. Because James is such a down-to-earth resource emphasising real-life issues, it’s just as relevant to those not as familiar with the Christian faith as it is for those of us who are more seasoned, convinced followers of Christ.

James 5:7-20
James shares about persevering in the face of trials. Because life is often difficult, lived amidst a broken world at odds with God, our posture should be one of patient endurance. Those who follow Jesus are called to be a people of prayer and praise.
