Care & Connection Resources
Pastoral Care
Meeting with a pastor can provide support during times of spiritual or personal crisis, offering compassion and counsel. Our Pastoral Team can serve as trusted mentors who can help navigate life’s challenges, providing a sense of belonging and community. Meeting with a pastor can foster spiritual growth and provide opportunities for deeper reflection on beliefs and values.
Our pastoral staff would be happy to meet or discuss needs with you.
Connection
Counseling
Meeting with a counselor offers a confidential space to explore and address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, or trauma, with the support of a trained professional.
For longer-term care, we recommend seeing a licensed counselor. While we do not have counselors on staff, we do curate a list of referrals. This list also includes local and state resources if you are experiencing more urgent needs.
Loneliness Epidemic
The Surgeon General Advisory highlights the pressing public health crisis of loneliness, isolation, and lack of connection in the US. Even pre-COVID-19, about half of US adults reported feeling lonely. This disconnection adversely impacts mental, physical, and societal well-being. Research shows that loneliness and isolation can lead to mental health issues and increase the risk of premature death, akin to daily smoking.
