
Leo Schuster
Lead Pastor
Leo Schuster is the Lead Pastor of City Church. As a pastor for over thirty-three years, Leo’s ministry has reached from Texas to New York City. He started and led two college ministries in Dallas, founded and pastored Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Houston, and served as the Lead Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church’s East Side Congregation in New York City where he was mentored by Tim Keller. Leo and his wife, Ellen, have three adult daughters: Anna, Margaret, and Mary Caroline. They are also thrilled to have six grandchildren: James, Winnie, Miles, William, Rosie, and Charlotte.

Valerie Tompson
Executive Director
Valerie Tompson is the Executive Director at City Church where she oversees all ministry areas, as well as the operations and finances of the church. She grew up in Houston, attended Washington and Lee University in Virginia, and has an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. She has worked in church finance and administration since 2006, and has also completed Rice University’s executive coaching program at the Doerr Institute. Her husband, Matt, is a physician in the Texas Medical Center, and they have three children: Mary Shannon, Rachel, and Will.

Aaron Foster
Pastor
Family Ministry, Adult Ministry, and Engagement
Aaron was born and raised in the Chicagoland. He was most recently a part of Christ Church Oak Brook, where over 10 years served as High School Ministry Director and then Creative Arts Pastor. Over that time, he has grown a deep passion for Christ’s ministry in the local church and is humbled by the opportunity to be a part of it.
Aaron and his wife, Cara, and their children, Eloise and Jude, are so grateful to call City Church home. You can find them on a neighborhood walk, cheering on Chicago sports, or exploring their new city of Houston.

Clint Wilson
Pastor
Spiritual and Theological Formation
Clint Wilson oversees theological and spiritual formation for City Church, developing original content, directing our City Arts Initiative, and leading the Space City Fellows Program. He holds a doctorate in literature and critical theory from Rice University, and is particularly interested in how the arts shape questions of faith, and vice versa. Clint and his wife Natalie, a clinical social worker, have one son, Isaac, and two dogs, Huck and Dizzy.

Kai Chen
Congregational Life Director
Kai Chen is the Congregational Life Director where he provides pastoral care and connection, contributes to teaching and discipleship, and engages in ministry discernment with leadership. He launched and led two ministries for college students in Austin and Dallas, and served as the Youth Pastor of West Houston Christian Church. He grew up in Houston, attended the University of Texas at Austin, and received his Masters in Divinity from SWBTS in Fort Worth. Kai and his wife, Michelle, have one daughter, Millie, and one dog, Raya.

Deangela Guillory
City Kids Assistant, Part Time
Deangela Guillory is the City Kids Assistant at City Church where she assists Chelsey in the Children’s Ministry on Sunday mornings. She first joined City Kids in 2021 as a nursery staff member. Deangela is from Houston, Texas, loves making an impact in the community, and has volunteered as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for seven years. Deangela currently works for Texas Workforce Commission in Vocational Rehabilitation and owns an Event Planning & Balloon Décor Business. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Master of Science in Hospitality Management.

Regan Huey
Communications Consultant
Regan Huey is a Communications Consultant for City Church where she provides support for print and digital communications. Regan’s background is in marketing and brand development. She is from Oklahoma City, and now resides in Houston with her husband, Ryan and two sons.

Anthony Lane
City Youth | Mission Director
Anthony Lane is the City Youth | Mission Director. He grew up in Louisiana, where he attended LSU and received his bachelor degrees in English, History, and Human Resources with a focus on leadership and development. Anthony spent college summers volunteering in youth ministry and on staff at Camp Ozark. After college, Anthony served as the Middle School and High School Area Director for Ozone Ministries, Camp Ozark’s parachurch ministry, in both the Memorial and West University areas, as well as worked as the High School Outreach Director at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. Anthony is passionate about youth and missions.

Margaret Melton
City Youth Director | Ministry Coordinator | Special Projects
Margaret Melton grew up in Brenham and moved to Houston after studying Business Marketing at Ole Miss. Margaret spent her college summers on staff at a Young Life camp and Camp Ozark. She is passionate about spending quality time with youth in their pivotal years of life. Over the last twelve years, Margaret has held different corporate roles in marketing and supply chain. Margaret is married to Greg and they have two daughters: Alice and Jane.

Elise Mueller
Ministry Manager | Executive Assistant
Elise Mueller is the Ministry Manager and Executive Assistant at City Church where she assists the Lead Pastor and Executive Director and has touchpoints with all areas of ministry. Elise grew up outside of Chicago and attended Texas Christian University where she majored in speech communication. She is married to Jonathan, and they have four children: James, Luke, Jacob, and Kate.

Kris Noland
Media | Communications Manager
Kris Noland is the Media and Communications Manager at City Church where he manages all things production related, as well as print and digital communications. Kris is a native Houstonian and spent most of his twenties playing in various bands around town. He also worked with Josh Moore as Assistant Recording Engineer at Castle Bravo Studios. He plays the piano/synthesizer and guitar.

Chelsey Omoregie
City Kids Director | Pastoral Resident
Chelsey Omoregie is the City Kids Director where she oversees children’s programming for infants-5th grade. She also occasionally sings with Civic Club in City Church services. She is a proud Houstonian who grew up in the southwest Houston area. Her husband, Bryant, is a software engineer, and they have two children: Caydence and Christian. After attending University of North Texas and attaining her Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in ESL, she transitioned into classroom teaching, curriculum writing, and leading worship. Chelsey is passionate about worship and using her teaching experience to reach children and teach them about Jesus Christ. In 2025, Chelsey started seminary and is on the pathway to becoming fully ordained.
