City Kids
Welcome To City Kids
City Kids offers Sunday morning worship for infants – 5th grade. Our children’s ministry is a place where each child is known, treasured, and joyfully engaged to know and experience God’s love for us through Christ. We are a community of children, parents, and volunteers who love God, love each other, and love the city of Houston. We offer both in-person and online curriculum options for our children.
Sundays at City Kids
City Kids is a community of children who love God, love others, and love the city of Houston.
City Kids
Kids, ages infant – 5th grade, are invited to participate in City Kids Sunday mornings during our regularly scheduled service. Each week children participate in gospel-centered singing, lessons, crafts, and other activities.
If you or your child has a disability, we would love to serve you! Please contact Chelsey so we can learn more about your needs and what we can do to make City Kids accessible to you.
Main Worship
While we strive to create a children’s experience for all children, we know that it’s sometimes best for kids to attend the main worship service. All families with kids of any age are welcome in the main service.
Nursing Moms
We want our nursing mothers to feel comfortable and welcome. We have two areas designated for breastfeeding. One is in the main concert hall located in the back. The second location is in our infant room located in the City Kids area. Both spaces include a changing station.

Older Toddlers (2.5 - 4 years old)

Pre-K - 3rd
Sunday activities for children in grades Pre-K – 3rd grade include games, Bible lessons, and arts and crafts. Our classrooms are divided by grade level and allow each child to learn about Jesus in ways that most relate to them. Large group lessons and activities focus on big picture ideas in the Bible and are led by City Kids staff. Small group lessons and activities are led by volunteers and provide opportunities for deepening each child’s understanding and applying what they’ve learned about the Bible and Jesus Christ. Snacks are provided.
4th - 5th
The 4th and 5th grade class focuses on building friendships while growing in kids’ understanding of the Bible. They do this through discussing scripture together each week as they follow through the Bible chronologically. 4th – 5th grade students participate in large group activities. Small group time is structured to support their understanding of the Bible and Jesus Christ and encourage them to continue growing in their faith. Donuts are provided.
We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.

Additional Sunday Morning Information
For any questions, email Chelsey
- Check-In & Security: Each child needs to be checked-in using our electronic system every Sunday prior to attending the worship service. Check-in begins at 10:00 AM at the Children’s Ministry Welcome Table. Once you check in, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear his or her nametag, which bears a code matched to your security tag that is needed to pick up your child after service.
- First Aid & Incident Reports: Minor injuries are treated with an ice pack and a Band-Aid. These are the only items we are allowed to dispense. Regardless of the type of injury or accident, volunteers will notify the City Kids Director and fill out an Incident Report.
- Safety & Health Procedures: To ensure good health to everyone, children with colds, colored runny noses, fevers, rashes, or other symptons of illness are not permitted into the classroom.
- You can inform the caregiver or teacher of any special instructions, feeding needs, potty training, etc. It is common for babies and kids to cry immediately after getting dropped off, but they usually calm down. We will text you if your child does not calm down within 15 minutes. Label all of your child’s belongings, including diaper bag, bottles, cups, etc. Only the parent of the child and female staff and volunteers are allowed to change diapers.
- All toys and equipment are disinfected before and after every use.
