Perseverance

Whether through unjust treatment or uncontrollable trials, suffering in life is inevitable. The question is–how we respond? This extraordinary story shows us how to persevere through pain, not only with courage, but other-wordly joy.

The benefits to being a person of faith are many, but it isn’t an easy life. When our faith seems fragile, feel like we’re faking it, that we failed in some way spiritually, how do we pick up the pieces and persevere? The beautiful benediction found at the end of the book of Jude gives us all we need.

If we live for the approval of others, or to seek our own gain, we will burnout fast. But when we live for the Spirit, we will be sustained by the Spirit.
