Fulfillment

Worship is in our nature, and idolatry was especially rampant in Ephesus. But Jesus frees us from the life-draining worship of idols, and into the life-giving presence of God.

Though familiar to many people, the Parable of the Sower is actually a very complex story about finding both grace and hope while we wait on the harvest of God’s promises.

This is one of the most famous and beloved story Jesus ever told. Though it’s commonly known as the parable of the prodigal son, the story actually features two sons. They represent two different ways of avoiding God. And it turns out there’s more than one prodigal. The father in the story helps us to imagine just how outrageously extravagant God’s love for us is.

Why would Luke record the actual birth of Jesus in such a straight-forward, even dispassionate way, given that has so often invited us into the emotional experience of Mary?

Once freed from the burden of our brokenness, we are released into a life made for carrying each other and restoring one another to fullness of life in Christ.

Palm Sunday is a celebration of God’s anointed entering the city of God and a poignant reminded of his impending suffering and death for us.
