Chynson Thomas

Born and raised in Houston, TX, Chynson Thomas has emerged as a premier spoken word artist. What began as an elementary school talent for writing short stories morphed into a passion for writing poetry as a way to counteract the stress and frustrations of life. Chynson not only uses spoken word as a form of release but also as a means of education, raising awareness and as a platform for ministry. At the forefront of all of his pursuits, his motto is “Follow Christ and Lead By Example”. Early in his career, Chynson was featured in The Rising Stars of Houston, a showcase for top upcoming artists from around the city. He has also been nominated multiple times for the Spoken Word Artist of The Year award, has collaborated with a Grammy award winning producer and continues to be featured in many showcases and conferences in the Houston area.

David Maldonado

David Maldonado is a Mexican – American visual artist and creative based out of Houston, Tx. His inspiration is drawn from the elements and the storytelling of folk art, street culture and the Mexican muralist movement. The touchstone of his work is based in his experiences growing up and finding an identity in art where a common place could be shared with others. He has developed a well recognized style tying together patterns, textiles, graphic and organic elements. He has had the opportunity to work with companies and brands such as Adidas, The Houston Texans, The Houston Astros, The National Institute of Aerospace, NASA & Facebook.

Lauren Luna

Master painter, Lauren Luna was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She holds a bachelor and master degree in Fine Arts, focusing in painting. Now living in Houston, she is “Your City Painter”, specializing in iconic Houston and New Orleans architecture and urban landscapes. Luna currently teaches at Lone Star and San Jacinto colleges, and is Co-President of the D.R.E.A.M. Affect Foundation, a non-profit organization that awards scholarships to minority Art students pursuing a career in the Fine Arts, and grants for emerging artists to show their work.

John Whaley Jr.

Visual Artist, John Whaley, Jr. is a native of Lake Charles, LA. He currently resides in Houston while creating paintings, photos and mixed media artworks. His works often refer to pop and mass culture, creating a world of unity through color. John is a US Navy veteran in the US Navy Reserve. He also graduated from American Intercontinental University as a Business Major. Over the course of his career, he has participated in numerous group shows, many benefiting charity. His current projects are aimed toward community engagement, homeless veterans, raising funds for curable diseases. His art is mostly inspired by music and current events.
