About Us
Loving God
We are a place to explore faith and grow spiritually – discovering purpose, meaning, and fulfillment through a relationship with God.
Loving Others
We offer a safe, welcoming place to flourish and find community.
Loving the City
We care about pursuing justice, rethinking the purpose of our work, fostering creativity, and learning to love our neighbors well.
What We Believe
We believe in the historic Christian faith as expressed in classic statements such as the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed.
City Church is affiliated with ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians.
Sunday Morning Worship Service
Our Sunday worship service is an invitation to come as you are, encounter God’s refreshing beauty, and find renewed hope and purpose. Whether faith is familiar, new, uncertain, or complicated by painful experiences, there is room for you here, even if you don’t believe.
Why do we take communion every Sunday?
Why do we pray written prayers, old and new?
Why do we always say a prayer of confession?
What are we trying to do in sermons on Sunday mornings?
The Story of City Church
City Church began in 2015 gathering for the first time at the House of Blues Houston, when Leo Schuster and a small group of people set out to build an honest, welcoming community in the heart of the city. From those early days, the church has grown into a diverse network of neighbors and friends exploring faith and learning to follow Jesus in everyday life—at home, at work, and across Houston. Along the way, we’ve remained committed to creating space for thoughtful faith, meaningful relationships, justice, creativity, and serving our city well.
