There’s room in Lent for everyone. This season, spanning roughly six weeks between Ash Wednesday (February 14 this year) and Easter, is an excuse to explore and an opportunity to grow. If you don’t believe or aren’t sure what you believe, Lent can be a time for questioning, searching, seeking, and considering the possibility of belief or re-engagement in faith. For those who identify as Christian, it’s an opportunity to take spiritual growth more seriously.
Our Lent series this year, a reflection upon Romans 5-8, will consider questions that often pose problems for faith and examine whether those same questions might turn out to be gateways to spiritual growth. We’ll discuss questions like: Can we find meaning in suffering? How do we deal with shame and insecurity and why does religion often make it worse? Why can’t we kick that bad habit? Why is happiness so elusive? Is it possible to know true intimacy? Life is so tough–how do we find and hold on to hope?
Join us for this important study in one of the most famous books of all time. And would you take a moment to invite others? I’ve found people are often open to attending a church like ours–they just need a personal invitation.
