Building A Life: Meditations in Matthew

New Series Starts August 18

by Leo Schuster | Lead Pastor

This year is an exciting time at City Church as we renovate our future home. It’s also a perfect opportunity to focus on another important project: building our personal lives and our community of faith.

What makes for an enjoyable and valuable life, one that not only benefits ourselves, but also contributes to the common good?

In the conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus compared a person’s life to building a home, highlighting the importance of a strong foundation. To make our lives indestructible and capable of withstanding life’s storms, it’s crucial to build them on the rock-solid foundation of his word. This fall, our sermons will explore Jesus’ words in Matthew’s Gospel, guiding us in building truly great lives. We’ll discuss essential behaviors but will especially focus on the active construction of our inner world. Jesus’ teachings provide the tools we need to build a life worth living, from the attitudes and affections of our hearts to our daily conduct.

I’m really excited about this series, designed for both the curious and the committed follower of Christ. Please take a moment to invite someone you know.
