While City Church will continue to host online services, on September 27 we will hold Vespers: a time in the evening for us to be together for song, communion, and prayer. “Vesper” means “evening” in Latin, and these evening services have been held in many Christian traditions for centuries. Please consider if it is best for you to attend by reviewing the CDC high-risk categories. Do not attend if you exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms. Every person and every family is impacted differently from this pandemic, so if it’s not best for you to attend this in-person gathering, we continue to look forward to seeing you online at 10:30 a. m. on Sunday mornings.
While our touch-less gathering may look a little different than our gatherings before COVID, the mission of City Church has not changed. City Church still seeks to renew Houston by bringing beauty to broken places by loving God, loving others, and loving the city. In accordance with our mission and for the safety of all who attend, we will adhere to guidelines released by state and local authorities. As a people who seek the good of our neighbor, we will also joyfully adhere to the following guidelines:
Please help us adhere to these guidelines. Our ability to continue to gather is dependent on everyone doing their part. If you decide to cancel your registration, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We long to be all together again. May we find hope in knowing God is at work among us even in, especially in, these unique circumstances.
