UPDATE ON RE-GATHERING

We're excited to let you know we will have an in-person gathering Sunday, June 21 at 5 PM. This "Vespers" service of prayer, sharing, and reflection will be one of several similar gatherings this summer, each of which will be held at the facility of Bethany Christian Church. We are very grateful to Bethany Christian Church for generously allowing us to use their facilities for these occasional evening services. While we long to be able to gather again on Sunday mornings, we hope that these services can provide a place for those of you that are ready to be together in person again. We will send out more details regarding logistics and safety measures early next week. You will need to register to attend.

Our regular Sunday morning worship services will continue to be available online throughout the summer at 10:30 AM. Due to COVID-19 limitations, House of Blues is not able to accomodate us at this time, but we remain in close contact with them regarding our eventual resumption of in-person services there. As we continue to pray and plan for this, please know City Church leadership places the highest priority on safety.

In addition to our Sunday online services and occasional Vespers services, here are some of our other summer ministry offerings: Linc Ashby is teaching a four-week virtual City Study on the sermon on the mount. City Kids has started a distanced Kids loving Kids service project with one of our ministry mission partners, Small Steps. Some City Groups and Focus Groups continue to meet, both virtually and some with occasional distanced meetups. If you would like more information on any of this please email Linc and he will connect you with the right person.

The City Church staff continues to be encouraged, not only by the high level of engagement in our Sunday online services and in our small groups, but also by the personal support that so many of you have expressed. We look forward to seeing how God will work in our body throughout this summer and will keep you up to date as things unfold.
