Summer in the City picnic

With the summer fast approaching, I am excited that it’s finally time to gather and launch our ‘Summer in the City’ series of events with City Church and the Houston community. We will host our Kick-Off Picnic on Sunday, May 22, from 4:30 - 6:30 PM at the Fannin Pavilion in Hermann Park.

The pavilion is next to the Buddy Carruth Playground, and we would love for you to bring Frisbees, balls, cornhole boards or washers to add to the fun! We will be serving pizza and drinks, and we invite you to bring friends and family to join the gathering.

There are two parking lots adjacent to the pavilion where you may park for free. Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church is graciously letting us park in its lot (at the corner of Fannin and Cambridge). There is also a public parking lot beside the church that can be accessed from Main St.

I know this will be a great opportunity to have some fun and kick-off the summer. Hope to see you there!
