City Church: Who We Are

City Church: Who We Are

City Church launched in August 2015 with a dream to renew Houston by bringing beauty into broken places. As a central Houston church where all are welcome, we want to be a safe place for everyone to explore the possibility of faith and the implications of it in their life. Questions of belief and unbelief are taken seriously and addressed respectfully.

We’re not so much interested in being a great church as we are in being a church that will help make Houston a greater city. We want to love the city to life! And by God’s grace, we do this by helping people integrate their faith into their work so they see it as a sacred calling instead of merely a job.

We love and serve the poor and those marginalized by the brokenness around us. We celebrate the arts as vital to the recovery of beauty and want City Church to be a haven for artists. More than anything, at City Church we want to help people discover the beauty of the Lord that alone satisfies the deepest longings of the human heart.
