Knowing + Known
“Knowing + Known” is Civic Club’s first full length LP. Each month, from October 2018 to April 2019, singles were released in conjunction with the City Church Houston sermon series “Knowing and Being Known”. The vision for the album followed the “A-side / B-side” format of old vinyl albums, dividing the songs into categories: The ‘A-side’, “Knowing”, is comprised of recordings, some original and others adapted from pre-existing works, that are congregational worship songs, utilized by City Church on Sunday mornings. The ‘B-side’, “Known”, is made up of original songs that express the stories and personal experiences of the contributing writers.
